The Boulder We Choose
/In Greek mythology, Sisyphus was condemned by the gods to roll a massive boulder up a hill, only to watch it roll back down, forcing him to begin again—for eternity.
His punishment wasn't the boulder itself.
It was the meaninglessness of his effort.
We've created our own modern version of Sisyphus' boulder—meetings that could be emails. Filling out reports that are never reviewed. Unnecessary and complicated policies and procedures.
What's worse? We wear this effort like a badge of honor.
But Sisyphus had no choice about his boulder. You do.
You can choose the boulder worth pushing.
Unlike Sisyphus, you don't have to keep pushing the same one tomorrow.
