The Easier Question
/The most important question you can ask yourself is "How can I make this easier?"
Not easier as in lazier. Easier as in simpler. Easier as in removing the friction that doesn't need to be there.
The spreadsheet that takes twelve clicks could take three. The meeting that requires five people could need two. The decision you're agonizing over already has an obvious answer if you strip away everything you've added to it.
Most of our struggle isn't the work itself. It's the complexity we've wrapped around it.
The hard part isn't finding ways to make things easier. The hard part is giving yourself permission to ask.
